America based tech conglomerate Apple has now officially launched its biggest iPad, the long awaited iPad Pro for sale in India starting at a price of Rs 67,900. The premium official online reseller for Apple, Infibeam, had already listed the device with the pricing details on its portal last week.
The Apple India website also enlisted the prices of the latest 12.9-inch iPad Pro, along with the device’s accessories Apple Pencil and the Smart Keyboard.
The iPad Pro comes in 3 variants with 3 different pricings depending on their specifications. The 32GB iPad Pro with WiFi is available for sale at Rs 67, 900, the 128 GB iPad Pro variant with WiFi only is priced at Rs 79,900 and the 128GB iPad Pro version with WiFi and 4G LTE connectivity is priced at Rs 91,900. While on the other hand, the accessories, Apple Pencil will be priced at Rs 8,600 in India and the Apple Smart Keyboard will be available for sale at Rs 14,900.
To recall your memories, the iPad Pro features a 12.9-inch LED-backlit Retina display with 2732 x 2048 pixel resolution and 264 pixels per index. The screen is protected with a fingerprint-resistant oleophobic coating and features fully-laminated anti-reflective coating. Apple’s iPad Pro also allows the users to run two apps simultaneously in full size. The device is just 6.9mm thick and weighs 713 grams.
The iPad Pro is powered by the latest 64-bit A9X chip and also features the M9 motion co-processor. According to the company claims, this latest A9X chipset provides better performance than 80 percent of portable laptops out in the market and also offers desktop-grade CPU and console-grade GPU. Apple is also promising up to 10-hours of battery life as well on the iPad Pro and just 15 seconds of charge allows over 30 minutes of usage.
The Apple iPad Pro sports a 1.2 mp FaceTime HD camera and an 8 megapixel rear camera with ƒ/2.4 aperture, autofocus, Panorama mode, HDR, and other capabilities. The device also supports Slo-Mo video and can record at 1080 p resolution.
The Apple iPad Pro also comes with Apple’s customized fingerprint sensor, Touch ID, which is built in the home button. In the connectivity front, the device supports Wi‑Fi (802.11a/b/g/n/ac) with dual channel (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 4.2, MIMO, and LTE in the Cellular+WiFi version.
To complement the iPad Pro, Apple finally introduced a stylus called the Apple Pencil. The company claims that there is virtually no lag with its stylus and users can even draw lines of various weight depending on the amount of pressure applied and can also add shadings to their drawings by tilting their hands accordingly, when using this Apple Pencil. The stylus is also compatible with the apps like Mail, Notes, Office 365,PaperbyFiftyThree for iPad to boost productivity of the tablet. Apple Pencil comes with 12 hours a day battery life.
iPad Pro is the only iOS supported device which comes with a built-in Lightning connector and transfer data at USB 3.0 speeds . Another accessory of this hybrid laptop, Apple Smart Keyboard is a full-sized foldable keyboard. The keyboard attaches with the laptop’s “Smart Connector port,” so there is no need for Bluetooth pairing. The Smart Keyboard has no spaces between keys and the company says it has been “coated in a water and stain‑resistant finish,” to protect from spills. Apart from typing, one can use the Apple Smart Keyboard as a stand and a cover for the iPad Pro.
