LG K10 to launch in South Korea this week

The South Korean tech maker has officially announced that the LG K10 along with the LG K7 will be launched in South Korea this week. LG K10 and K7 were unveiled at CES this year and sits in the mid price range. People would be able to purchase this device in South Korea starting from 14th January.

Most of the specs remain unknown as of now but it is said that the device will come with a 5.3 inch HD Display. Under the hood LG K10 will come with a quad core processor which would be clocked at 1.2GHz. Apart from the quad-core processor the device will even come with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.

As far as the camera is concerned, it is said that LG K10 will come with a 13MP camera on the back and a 5MP camera on the front.

LG K10 measures 146.6 x 74.8 x 8.8mm and weighs 140 grams. This smartphone will run on Android Lollipop 5.1.1 out of the box which may be a blunder for some as it has been a long time since Android marshmallow came in to action. The device will support WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, NFC, USB 2.0 as well as a Micro SD card. The device will be available Indigo Black and White.

The device will come with a price tag of KRW 200,000 which is roughly $165 according to the current exchange rates. This roughly translates to INR 11,000. It is said that the company may increase the price a bit when this device surfaces in India. Even if the device sells for 11k in India then it may face some difficulties as the Indian market is already filled up with a lot of other devices which have been priced similarly and even give some better specifications such as the Lenovo K4 Note, Asus Zenfone 2 Laser and the Coolpad Note 3.
