Archos Diamond 2 Note & Diamond 2 Plus hit the market before MWC?

Believe it or not, just two days ahead of the long awaited MWC, Archos has launched two of its new products called Diamond 2 Note and Diamond 2 Plus. When people around the world are awaiting the international tech event MWC scheduled to start from 21st of February 2016. However like all other companies, Archos will also keep its newly launched and also the flagship models at the display desk besides its other TABs.

Diamond 2 Note features, price, key specs

The dual SIM supporting Archos Diamond 2 Note features a display of 6inch. The screen is made up of 2.5D curved glass and comes with a protective layer of Gorilla Glass 3. The pixel density is 490 ppi. Well this short description of the total display features do show that the Diamond 2 Note is going to provide a vivid display with superb picture quality. The configuration of the SIM slots is somewhat strange and it features a kind of hybrid slot. Either you can use two SIMs (micro+nano) or a single one. The internal memory is of 32GB which is expandable up to 128 GB via SD card.  It is powered by a 64-bit octa-core Mediatek X10 MT6795 processor clocked at 2GHz, clubbed with 3GB LPDDR3 RAM and PowerVR G6200 GPU.

The feature of a phone that becomes the matter of concern the most now a days is its camera. The rear camera is of 16 MP with an aperture of f/2.0 and a dual LED flash. So from the camera configuration atleast this can be figured out well that the camera is going to provide a very good picture quality. When camera becomes the focus of the discussion, front facing camera has to be discussed about. The front facing camera is of 8MP with 84 degrees wide angle view and f/2.2 aperture.  So not only the rear camera but also the front camera will give you a super service. Above all the price has been set around Rs. 19, 200 (INR).

Diamond 2 Plus features, price, key specs

Alongwith the Diamond 2 Plus, the company Archos has also launched another phone called Diamond 2 Plus which features a 5.5icnch full HD display with 2.5D curved glass coupled with a DragonTrail front, Full Black Lamination and pixel density of 400ppi. This phone also features a hybrid SIM slot just like the Diamond 2 Note. The only difference is that this phone supports either 2 micro SIMs or one single SIM. As far as the inbuilt storage is concerned, the phone has a memory of 64GB and is expandable up to 128GB via SD card. it is powered by a 64bit octa core Mediatek P10 MT6755processor, out of which four cores are clocked at 2GHz and the other four cores are at 1.2GHz. The RAM is of 4GB.  So, it can be well said that the phone supports much speedy multitasking.

Now coming to the camera feature, the phone has a 20MP rear camera with Sony sensor and aperture of f/2.2 and a dual LED flash, proving a high quality of photography. The front camera is of 8MP and comes along with a front facing flash.  On the connectivity front, the Archos Diamond 2 Plus bears 4G LTE (Cat. 6),Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS/A-GPS, Micro-USB Type-C (with OTG), and FM radio. The left out feature is its battery which comes with 3000mAh Li-on battery. The phone has been priced at Rs. 15,000 (INR).

So, these were the features of the two newly launched phones by Archos, called Diamond 2Note and Diamond 2Plus. We hope that the phone which has been launched just 2 days ahead of MWC will make a success. So let us look forward to it.
