Micromax Canvas 6 Pro With 5.5-inch Screen Launched in India at Rs 13,999

Micromax launched Canvas 6 Pro smartphone at a re-branding event that was held in Delhi last week. Currently the smartphone is up for pre-order on Micromax’s newly launched e-store on a payment of Rs 1,000. The shipping will begin from 20 April.

The Canvas 6 Pro is different to Canvas 6 in a couple of ways. The new device sports a plastic body and comes with an ergonomic polymer grip. The canvas 6 on the other hand features a metal body. Apart from these, Pro, in terms of hardware is pretty similar to its former sibling.

Micromax Canvas 6 Pro features a 5.5-inch Full HD display with 1920x1080p resolution and comes with a layer of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3 that protect the glass from scratched. Its powered by a MediaTek Helio X10 processor clocked at 2GHz. It’s got a 4GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card. As for the camera, the handset offers 5MP front camera and a 13MP primary camera that features an LED flash and PDAF. Speaking of connectivity, Canvas 6 Pro 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Its backed by a powerful 3,000mAh battery. The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and comes with Micromax’s new Around Discovery platform tons of very useful pre-loaded apps.

After Samsung, Micromax is the second largest phone seller in India and according to last year’s IDC’s quarterly mobile phone tracker report Micromax dominates 14.1% of the smartphone market in the country.
