Reputed tipster Evan Blass has recently confirmed that HTC is gearing up to launch two new smartphones under its Desire series, titled the Desire 10 Pro and the Desire 10 Lifestyle. While we still do not have a fixed date for the said launch, Evan Blass reports that the event will take place tentatively around the end of September.
Blass shared pictures of the HTC Desire 10 Pro on Twitter that showed off its design and body, with a more detailed analysis of the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle in his VentureBeat report. As we can see in the images, the HTC Desire 10 Pro will come in two colour options- black and white, both of which will feature gold lines running along the sides of the body. The device may offer other colour variations as well. Both the Desire 10 Pro and Lifestyle phones will be branded in line with HTC’s 2016 flagship, the HTC 10.
According to Blass’s report, the HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will come with a 5.5-inch, 720p (HD resolution of 720 x 1280) display, and a quad-core Snapdragon processor. The phone will offer two variants in terms of storage: a base model that will pair 2GB of RAM with 16 GB of internal storage and another that will have 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will feature backside-illuminated (BSI) sensors for both its back and front cameras which are said to be of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel resolution respectively. Both will reportedly be capable of full HD, 1080p video recording. The new phone will come with specialized audio features with HTC’s usual Boomsound Hi-Fi Edition stereo speakers. It is also expected to ship with higher quality earbuds, which may support Hi-def audio formats. The HTC Desire 10 Lifestyle will run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, coupled with the HTC Sense UI.
Unlike the Desire models introduced in early 2016, the new Desire 10 Lifestyle is expected to come in solid matte colour variations. The company will apparently be offering multiple colour choices for its users, and the phone will also feature gold trimmings along its body, much like the HTC Desire 10 Pro, which is said to be the higher end option between the two.
