After launching a number of devices from their P Smartphone series, consumer electronics manufacturer Huawei’s latest device, the Mate 9’s launch date in Munich was revealed to be Thursday, November 3 at 2PM CET. Huawei hasn’t confirmed what it plans to unveil during the event, save for the fact that it will be a “new flagship device”. We are almost certain it’ll be the Mate 9, especially as the Mate 8 launched in November last year, but an outside bet could be the also rumoured Huawei-made Nexus 7 tablet.
The Huawei Mate 9 was found on GFXBenchmarking website last month. As per the listing on GFXBench, the Huawei phone has a 5.9-inch that has full HD (1920×1080 pixels) resolution and 5 finger gesture support. Besides as per the listing, it has HiSilicon Hi3660 (Cortex A53) 2.6 GHz octa-core processor, 4GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, ARM Mali T880 GPU and Android 7.0 Nougat operating system. The device is listed with 12-megapixel autofocus camera and LED flash in its rear panel. There is an 8-megapixel camera in its front for selfies. The GFX listing shows that the device has connectivity features like Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and WiFi.
A total of three storage/RAM variants will be on offer, apparently. The base model will feature 64GB of storage and 4GB of RAM, with an asking price of 3,199 CNY (Rs 32,000). The remaining two models will come with 4GB of RAM + 128GB of storage and 6GB of RAM + 6GB of RAM. These variants will be priced at 3,899 CNY (Rs 39,200) and 4,700 CNY (Rs 47,300) respectively.
The device’s availability details are very faint as of now but it will probably be available in retail stores and online E-commerce websites post its launch.
