Huawei MediaPad M3 Launched at the IFA 2016 in Berlin

Chinese multinational Huawei’s MediaPad M3 tablet was launched at the IFA event in Berlin earlier this month. Huawei, whose devices have not recently had a pretty decent run at the market in India compared to it’s contemporary companies are attempting to reverse the same by expanding further into the Phablet market with its Mediapads. The Chinese company were one of the first to manufacture smartphones in 1997.

Hardware and Software:

The Huawei Mediapad M3 features an 8.4-inch 2,560 x 1,600 display with QHD resolution and has Harman Kardon-certified audio system. The device runs the company’s own Kirin 950 octa-core processor, clubbed with 4GB RAM and 32/64GB storage. The tablet also supports a microSD card up to 128GB. It runs Huawei Emotion UI 4.1 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be arriving to European countries starting this month.

Camera and Battery Specifications:

On the battery front, the Huawei MediaPad M3 boasts 5100mAh battery that is rated to deliver up to 11 hours of video playback. Also included are 8MP front and back cameras.

The Nova smartphones by Huawei:

The Chinese tech firm also announced its Nova and Nova Plus smartphones at the keynote event. The Nova Plus is the more powerful in the two and features a larger display, more battery, better and rear camera.

The Nova Plus features a 5.5-inch display with 16MP rear camera, 8MP front-facing camera, 4000mAh battery, and runs Emotion UI based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

The Huawei Nova features a 5-inch full HD display (1080) while 12MP autofocus rear camera can record videos in 4K resolution. Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor is in the heart of this phone and this package is backed by a 3020mAh battery.

How much will the phablet cost?

Launching first on September 26th in several European countries (including the UK), as well as in parts of Asia and the Middle East, the base 32GB WiFi model will cost €349( Rs. 26,100). The 64GB WiFi and 32GB LTE versions are priced at a slightly more expensive €399 (Rs 29,831), with the €449( Rs 33,570) 64GB LTE model rounding out the options.

There is no confirmed reports of when the device will launch in India, but there is hope that might be soon sometime in the later part of November.
