Lava A97 Smartphone with ‘Smart Gesture’ Launched at Rs. 5,949

Smartphone manufacturer Lava has launched their latest smartphone, the A97 with  4G VoLTE has been launched , according to a press statement from the company. Lava A97 buyers will also get one-year free screen replacement for the purchasers  of the smartphone within the offer period of September 15 to November 15. Lava’s new budget phone will be available across retail stores in India.

The new A97 supports 12 Indian languages. The Lava A97 also comes with the ‘Transliterate Feature’ which allows easy translation of English language to your respective native tongue. Other features include ‘Smart Gestures’ which allows users to get easy and direct access to apps and features by using gestures on the phone – w for browser, m for music, v for video player and so on.

Hardware and Memory Specifications

Lava A97 has a 5-inch screen with a full wide video graphics array (FWVGA) resolution. It has a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor with 1 GB RAM and 8GB ROM, which is further expandable up to 32 GB. The device runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system.

Camera Specifications

The A97 from Lava sports 5MP cameras on both the front and rear panels both of which come with LED flash. The budget-friendly device is packed with the camera features such as ‘Face Beauty’ to beautify Selfies, ‘GIF mode’, Panorama etc. It can support full HD (1080p) video playback and recording.

Battery and other features

The device features a 2350 mAh Li-ion battery and features like  ‘Google Now on Tap’, ‘Doze’ mode for improved battery life are also implemented in the phone.

Price and Availability

The Lava A97 is launched at a price of Rs.5,949 and will be available across all retail outlets in the country. Online Availability of the phone is still an uncertainty. However, we are quite sure that Amazon and Flipkart will both make this smartphone available on their sites post the festive season sale which begins on both sites On October 1.
