Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Price Leaked Ahead of Tuesday’s Launch

Xiaomi Mi Note 2: Xiaomi has already announced that they are hosting an event in Beijing on October 25 for the launch of Mi Note 2. Ahead of its launch a lot of leaks are pouring in. The latest on reveals the cost of Xiaomi Mi Note 2 at $590 (approx Rs. 39,500).

Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is rumoured to sport 5.7-inch Super AMOLED (1440×2560 pixels) display with Force Touch technology. Force Touch is 3D Touch that was first introduced by Apple on the iPhone 6S. The pressure sensitive display technology provides additional interface options to users. The device will also reportedly sport an Iris Scanner and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader below the glass that covers the screen.

It’ll be powered by a 64-bit Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 530GPU. The handset will feature the 23-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX318 sensor, and a 12-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX378 sensor. It’ll also feature 8-megapixel front snapper. Rumours claim, the device will also have a dual-tone LED Flash, support OIS, and 4K video recording. The successor to the original Mi Note will be available with  Android 6.0 Marshmallow-based MIUI 8 and supports dual-SIM slots (Nano + Nano) and 4100mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The handset will be available with 4GB of RAM + 64GB of storage and 6GB of RAM + 128GB of storage. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE , Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4/5 GHz) MU-MIMO, GPS, and USB Type-C port.

Previously the rumoured cost of the handset are as followed: 4GB/64GB model will cost CNY 2,799 (Rs. Rs. 27,800) while the 6GB/128GB model would be CNY 2,999/$445 (Rs.29,800).

Recently, Xiaomi has launched a super cool and sturdy keyboard called the Mi Wyatt Meter Mechanical Keyboard in China. It has 87 keys in total and features LED backlighting that makes typing in dark possible. Mi Wyatt Meter Mechanical Keyboard also features 3528 LED lamps with six-speed emission luminance and colour temperature of 6500K. Its costs CNY 299 (approx 3,000) and is available via company’s crowd-funding platform Mijia.
