Micromax is planning to launch its latest dual-camera smartphone, the Micromax Dual 5, on March 29. This is one of the most recent offerings by the local smartphone major. The company has now sent out invites to media and tech enthusiasts to attend the launch of the new device. The new phone will launch on March 29 at 12 PM.
Many international and domestic smartphone manufacturers have gleaned out the fact that the dual-camera feature on budget devices is the need of the hour. Micromax is one of the rare brands who come up with combinations of quality and low price. This has made this local manufacturer one of the most popular indigenous device manufacturers. With the launch of the Micromax Dual 5, the space between the quality and the price of the two devices will be bridged. This is not the first time that a low-priced smartphone carries dual rear cameras. Huawei has also launched its Honor 6X, which has dual rear cameras, at Rs 12,999.
The Micromax Dual 5 is to start its shelf-life from March 29. Reports suggest decent, if not spectacular, features, The new dual-camera smartphone (bearing the code-name E4815 ) will have the standard dual rear camera setup. These are placed on the rear panel and it is expected that the new setup will come with a combination of 13-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. The front camera will be a standard 5-megapixel snapper which will be standard fare for shooting selfies and video calling. There is also a decent LED flashlight on the rear panel located right between the two cameras. The new Micromax Dual 5 smartphone is set to ship with a metal unibody design as well as a 5.5 inch IPS display.

This new Micromax Dual 5 smartphone will be powered by an octa-core 1.5 GHz MediaTek processor. The new smartphone will come with a decent 3GB of RAM mated with 32 GB of native storage; should the user so desire, the internal memory can be increased by a microSD card. For extra security, the new Micromax Dual 5 will come with a fingerprint sensor embedded in the home button. Besides, the new smartphone will support 4G with VoLTE as well. The price of the new device is justified by the features.
