Xiaomi Mi 5C And Mi 6 Specs Leaked: With Snapdragon 625 and the 835, Xiaomi Boasts of Variety on Offer

The Xiaomi Mi 5C, the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 4C, has been leaked and it boasts of some pretty serious specs. The latest offerings from the house of Xiaomi, the Chinese smartphone giant, also speeds up the search for an affordable variant of the Xiaomi Mi 5, which is the flagship device. The Xiaomi Mi 6 has also let go of its secrets. The one major difference between the two devices is in the processors powering them.

Xiaomi Mi 5C Specs and Features

The Xiaomi Mi 5C will probably be a very sleek phone. The all-new Mi 5c will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, which has been manufactured using the super-efficient 14nm fabrication process. The budget smartphone will also feature 3GB of RAM coupled with 64GB of internal storage. The expandable memory option might also be made available. The imaging functions will be ably met with a 12MP rear primary camera while an 8MP front camera will make for good selfies and decent still imagery. An ample and pretty powerful 3,200mAh battery will power the upcoming device.

As far as the software on the new phone is concerned, the upcoming device will run the in-house MIUI 8 out of the box. The Xiaomi Mi 5C will come with a 2.5D 5.5-inch full-HD display. On a different note, the fast charging feature will probably be unavailable on the new Xiaomi device. The front fascia of the new phone looks to have been modified with a curved display.

Xiaomi Mi 6 Specs and Features

Xiaomi is a great Chinese brand and it’s next big things, the Xiaomi Mi 5C, the successor to the Xiaomi Mi 4C are scheduled to arrive and steal the spotlight at the Mobile World Congress starting from late February, the Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC with a catch: they will be underclocked to 1.8 GHz. Sources have suggested that the new Xiaomi Mi 6 will be arriving in three distinct variations. One of the variations is set to be powered by the Helio X30 chipset and will be priced at RMB 1,999 which is nearly equivalent to Rs 19,800.

A second version will sport the underclocked SD 835 SoC and will boast of 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal native storage. This mid-level variation will be available  RMB 2,499 or around Rs 24,800. The third version will be the premium segment entry will be powered by the Snapdragon 835 as well. The RAM will be increased to 6GB and the internal storage to a very comfortable 256GB. Similar to the existing Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, a dual-edge curved display will be featured on the phone.

All the Xiaomi Mi 6 models will have a respectable 3,000mAh battery as well as USB Type C connectivity for dual purposes: charging and data transfer.

The Mi 6 will also ship with a 16MP rear camera with 4K recording support plus a 4MP front camera for decent selfies. There are reports that dual-camera setup on the rear may also be featured on the Mi 6 range. From what we know as of now, the top end variant will be called the Xiaomi Mi 6 pro.
