HTC U Images Leaked: Reflective Glass Back And Edge Sense Feature on Offer

The next big best for HTC, the Taiwanese smartphone major, is the HTC U, known otherwise as the HTC Ocean Note. For some time now, we have been witnessing various images of the new phone which purport to show off its various features and its stunning looks. A new image surfaced barely hours ago which show off the new reflective glass back of the new phone besides the new Edge Sense feature which makes the new device even smarter.

The major highlight of the new HTC U is the Edge Sense feature which makes it possible to control various features of the phone simply by touching the edge of the phone. The edge of the upcoming phone is made of metal and it is therefore theoretically possible to control the phone by touching these conducting edges.

First leaked by the prolific tipster Evan Blass, the new image shows off the new HTC U in all its glory. The features which can be observed on the new phone, judging purely on the nature of the images. We can make out a curved glass display alongside a reflective glass back. There seems to be a fingerprint scanner underneath the Home Button located out front. The HTC logo is seen on the back just below the camera sensor which seems to reside at the top centre of the back panel.

The new HTC U is said to arrive with a 5.5-inch QHD display with a resolution of 1440×2560 pixels. This display will have Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The handset will be powered by the latest and the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC which is said t be mated with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM options.

The HTC U will certainly be a master at photography. It will sport a 12-megapixel Sony IMX362 sensor as the rear and primary camera while a bigger, more powerful 16-megapixel IMX351 sensor is said to arrive out front, signaling a selfie-centered smartphone. The HTC U will come with either 64GB or 128GB of internal or native storage depending on the RAM combination. The smartphone will be powered by a 3000mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0.
