One of the most exciting smartphones of the year, Moto G5 is all set to make its India debut today. Lenovo, the parent company of Motorola is holding a launch event in New Delhi today and you can even watch the live streaming of the unveiling ceremony through the YouTube channel of the Moto India. The brand new Moto G5 will be up for sale from tonight only, and you can buy it from Amazon India’s website after the midnight. It is noteworthy that, Moto G5 has been unveiled to the world for the first time during the Mobile World Congress 2017 event, which was held in Barcelona last February, along with its bigger variant, the Moto G5 Plus.
So if we talk about the specifications of the Moto G5, the device boasts of a 5-inch full HD display with the pixel resolution of 1080×1930 and 441 ppi. The newly-launched smartphone is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor and Adreno 505 GPU which is coupled with either 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage capacity or a 3GB RAM paired with 32Gb internal storage capacity. You can even expand the storage capacity of the device up to 128GB with the help of an external microSD card slot.
Moving on to the optics front, the Moto G5 sports a 13-megapixel camera on the back side of the handset, accompanied by various camera features such as Phase Detection Auto Focus technology, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash. The brand new Moto G5 also features a 5-megapixel wide-angle camera on the front side of the device, which is ideal for capturing high-quality selfies and making video calls.
A 2800mAh removable Li-Ion battery powers the device and the smartphone is secured by a fingerprint sensor. The option of fast charging is also available in this wonder device as the box consists of a 10W rapid charger. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, Moto G5 features various sensor options such as an accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass are also included in the handset along with the all the modern day connectivity options like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and micro USB port.
The Moto G5 comes with a removable metal body and dimension wise it measures 144.3 x 73 x 9.5 mm and weighs only 144.5 grams. The newly-launched Moto G5 is available in two variants, depending on the storage capacity of the handset and the price of the devices also vary accordingly. The 3GB RAM with 16GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 14,999, whereas the 4GB RAM with 32 GB version comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999. Although Lenovo generally chooses Flipkart to launch their new devices, the Moto G5 has been made an Amazon exclusive device and the sale starts off from 11.59PM tonight.
