Google’s ‘Taimen’ Emerges on Geekbench, Features Android O

Earlier there were reports of a leaked documents revealing the codenames of Google’s next major devices –  “Walleye” and “Muskie.” Google has been used to naming or codenaming after marine lives and both  “Walleye” and “Muskie” – both are basically freshwater fish. Now we have reports of another Google smartphone named Taimen that has emerged online on Geekbench. We can spot a handful of features in the handset that is pretty exciting, to say the least.

Google’s ‘Taimen.’

As per IBTimes, Taimen is set to be the biggest variant of the rumors three Google smartphones. It’ll come with a large screen. Moreover, there are reports that the handset is will not really be an extension of Pixel or the Nexus line-up, but will be a standalone device that’ll perhaps start a line of new smartphones. That remains to be seen but right now that only thing that we know about the Taimen is that it’ll come with a 4GB RAM like that of the present Google flagship devices and that it’ll run Android O.

Although the new listing doesn’t reveal much about the processor, earlier rumors had suggested that Taimen will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 quad-core processor. But if the handset is supposed to come with Android O, which isn’t coming out anytime soon. So the release of the phone isn’t happening anytime soon either.
