Moto Z2 Play Spotted On TENAA, Boasts 12MP Rear Camera And 2820mAH Battery

Another day, another Moto release on the cards. This time, the Moto Z2 Play, on of Motorola’s most ambitious budget smartphone releases, has been spotted on TENAA. TENAA is a mobile device certification site, meaning that the device may be on the way to mass launched very soon.  The Moto Z2 Play is a continuation of the original Moto Z, although it will sport a 12MP rear camera in place of the 16MP sensor in the original.

The Moto Z2 play is very important for the continuing success of Motorola as one of the world’s foremost OEM giants. The model number listed on TENAA is XT1710-08 and the site lists out a slew of features which are said to be on the new phone. Like other Motorola smartphones, the new Moto Z2 Play has a 16-pin magnetic module on the back to attach Mods. The power button, besides the volume rocker keys, both are present on the right side of the phone. One minute change is noticed in the home button which now looks more semi-circular than previously.

Moto Z2 Play Specs and Features

In line with earlier reports that we brought to you earlier, the Moto Z2 Play will ship with a 12MP back camera and a dual-LED flash when compared to the 16MP sensor seen in the original Moto Z Play. The front snapper will be a 5MP one. The listing also revealed the phone would run the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. In terms of display and other features, the Moto Z2 Play will come with a 5.5-inch FHD OLED display and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Moto Z2 Play will only be 6mm thick.

Other specifications of the Z2 Play will include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626 processor, which is clocked at 2.2GHz. Thi will be coupled with 4GB RAM together with 64GB of internal storage. The native memory will also be expandable thanks to a dedicated microSD card. The one major drawback is that the Moto Z2 Play’s battery is only a 2,800mAh compared to a 3510 mAh battery found on the Moto Z Play.
