Samsung Launched Galaxy Wide 2 in South Korea with 2 GB RAM and 13-MP Front Camera

The tech conglomerate Samsung has launched the successor of the hugely popular Galaxy Wide smartphone in their native land, South Korea. The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 comes with 2 GB of RAM and priced at KRW 297,000 (approximately Rs. 17,000).

The brand new handset Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 sports a 5.5-inch HD LCD display with the pixel resolution of 720X1280 pixels and 2.5D curved glass on top. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core 1.6 GHz processor clubbed with 2 GB of RAM. Not only that, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 offers 16 GB of internal storage capacity which can be further expandable up to 256 GB through the microSD card slot.

On the optics front, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 features a 13-megapixel primary camera at the back end of the handset with f/1.9 aperture and offers a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper for taking better selfies and video calls. The handset runs on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat operating system and is backed by 3300mAh battery. Dimension wise, the handset measures 151.5×76.4×8.6mm and weighs only 170 grammes.

As of now, the Samsung Galaxy Wide 2 has only been released in South Korea and the tech giant launched the handset with the collaboration of SK Telecom, a famous mobile carrier of  South Korea. So the handset has not been listed on the Samsung’s official website, neither has any news on pricing and availability in other markets.

Samsung launched the Galaxy Wide handset in last July with the same specifications and model number of Galaxy On 7(SM-G600S) and released the handset as a local version of the Galaxy On 7. So the experts think that the Galaxy Wide 2 will also follow the same footsteps, with a slightly refined design.
