Belkin, the mobile electronics and accessories brand, has come up with a solution to the USB-C and other standard USB cables’ connectivity with the new Belkin MIXIT DuraTek USB-C cable, part of its ever-expanding retinue of its  MIXIT DuraTek cable family. Belkin claims that the new Belkin MIXIT DuraTek USB-C is capable of speeds of up to 10GBps when it comes to transferring data. The new USB cable is 4-foot long with reinforced conductors covered by Kevlar fiber. Kevlar offers extra durability, which means that the cable is proof from external damage and stress. The new cable is longer and is also more flexible. There are strain-relief bonds as well which prevents breakage as well. Finally, the double-braided nylon forms a flexible and durable cable jacket as well.

Power and Charging

The Belkin USB-C cables allows charging of a USB-C supported device at up to 3 Amps, according to The Mobile Indian. Users can now power devices at up to 100 watts with this cable. In terms of advanced technology, this new cable will offer an internal power management chip which will allow proper power delivery besides retaining a safer charge as well.

As far as transfer and syncing abilities are concerned, the new USB 3.1 SuperSpeed+ will offer transfer speeds of up to 10 Gbps when it comes to data. This, Belkin states, will offer 20x faster speeds than USB 2.0 (which offers up to 480 Mbps of transfer speeds) and is up to 12x faster than FireWire. You can also transfer music in 10 minutes as well as an entire HD movie in just 30 seconds.

As far as other features are concerned, the USB 3.1 cables will be able to deliver 4K, or UltraHD, video, and audio, from portable devices such as a laptop, phone or tablet to the user’s HD-TV or monitor. To ensure a foolproof user experience, you can also plug in the device in any direction as well.

Oliver Seil, who is Vice President of Design at Belkin, said,“We’ve made our DuraTek cables so strong because we know that ordinary cables aren’t tough enough to endure the challenges we put them through. After all, cables should be made to serve us, not the other way around.”
