Chinese electronics company Xiaomi has launched a Matte Black variant of its latest flagship device, Xiaomi Mi Max 2. The device, which was launched last month in China in Gold color features a full metal body.
Having a 6.4-inch full HD 2.5D curved glass display, it has a resolution of 1920*1080 pixels. It is backed by a powerful 5,300mAh battery. The battery has support for Quick Charge 3.0 along with parallel charging. It will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. Xiaomi has claimed that the device will offer two days of battery life and can get charged up to 68% in just one hour. The Matte Black variant of the phone is currently available exclusively in Hong Kong. It is being speculated that it will soon be available in other countries as well.
One of the highlights of the device is that it comes with an IR blaster, which the company claims that it can act as a universal remote for air-conditions and television. It is powered by a 2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor clubbed with Adreno 506GPU. It will come in two RAM storage variants – 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM. While the 4GB RAM is priced at CNY 1,499 (approximately Rs. 14,000), the 6GB RAM is priced at CNY 1,699 (Rs. 16,000).
Measuring 174.1*88.7*7.6mm, the device weighs 211g. The connectivity options of the device include Bluetooth 4.2, NFC, USB Type C, 4G VoLTE, GPS + GLONASS and WiFi. It also offers hybrid dual sim, as per The Mobile Indian.
Coming to the camera of the device, it has a 12-megapixel primary camera with 1.23 micron, Phase Detection Autofocus (PDA), f/2.2 aperture, etc. Its secondary camera is of 5-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree wide-angle lens.
