Huawei is planning to introduce a new flagship device in the market. Christened the Huawei Mate 10, the new device will have an edge-to-edge display very similar to the Samsung Galaxy S8, which is one of the leading devices in the market. The new Huawei Mate 10, upon its release, will be one of the sleekest phones in the modern market. We are expecting a release date around July middle or end.
The new Huawei Mate 10 will be powered by a newly fabricated 10nm processor which will be as fast as it will be easy to use. A source revealed to BGR that a Taiwan supply chain had first let loose the secret that the new device would have a full-screen display not very dissimilar to the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. We also expect that the new device will have a 6-inch screen with a resolution of around 2160x1080p. There will be a newly designed 18:9 fully active display from JDI which will grace the device as well. JDI is an acronym of Japan Display Inc. and is an LCD technology joint venture originally led by Sony, Toshiba, and Hitachi.
The new Huawei Mate 10 will be powered by Huawei’s indigenously developed 10nm HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoC. Besides being manufactured on the 10nm fabrication process, it will also be powerful enough to challenge the likes of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC as well as the Samsung Exynos 8895. The Kirin 970 SoC will have a composition made with Cortex-A73 cores, which is pretty similar to the 960 SoC. The last SoC is already powering the Huawei P10 which has proven to be a pretty solid device as well.
One of the essential features in the Huawei Mate 10 is the 3D sensing dual camera which is said to be AR-ready as well. This was reported by GSMArena. Should this feature make it to the finished product, the device will be on par with the upcoming flagship of Apple, the iPhone 8, although we will file that one under the rumor category.
