Earlier this year, Honor launched the V9 handset which has garnered massive popularity among the tech enthusiasts. Now, the company is all set to launch a trimmed version of the handset, dubbed as the Honor V9 Mini. According to the recent leaks, the V9 Mini is going to be a more compact and sleeker version of the V9, which is known as the Honor 8 Pro in India.
A recent purported live image of the upcoming Honor V9 Pro has been surfaced on the Chinese counterpart of the Twitter, Weibo. And as per the leak, the V9 Mini looks exactly same as the Honor V9. Both the handsets have similarities in terms of the same metallic body and the horizontally placed dual-camera setup accompanied with an LED flash. Moreover, the fingerprint sensor of the alleged Honor V9 Mini is also placed at the same place as the V9, at the rear end, just above the company logo.
The leaked image also indicated that the V9 Mini is expected to feature the volume rocker and the power button on the right side of the handset and the antenna bands at both the top and bottom end of the device. Not only that, according to the live image, the SIM tray of the upcoming handset will be placed on the left side of the device and the USB Type-C, a speaker grille and the 3.5mm jack at the bottom.
The leaked image of the Honor V9 Mini also hinted that the handset will be available in two different colors- black and blue and will be much compact and slimmer than its predecessor. Although the image has failed to give an impression about the specs of the upcoming handset. It is noteworthy that, the Honor V9 aka Honor V8 Pro sports a 5.7-inch QHD LTPS LCD display with 1440×2560 pixels resolution. The smartphone is powered by the Huawei’s Kirin 960 octa-core chipset clubbed with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable internal storage.On the optics front, the handset sports a 12-megapixel snapper at the back and an 8-megapixel shooter at the front. The Honor V9 is backed by a 4000 mAh battery and runs on the Android 7.0 Nougat OS out of the box.
