Intex Announces 4G-enabled Feature Phones For Indian Market

Intex Technologies has unveiled its latest range of 4G-enabled feature phones for the Indian market. Called the Turbo+ 4G, this is the first time that Intex has joined the 4G-enabled feature phone market. On offer are eight new devices and the prices are on the lower side as well: between Rs 700 and Rs 1500.

All of these devices have been launched under a new range named Navaratna. Two color variants of the devices will be available, in black and white. As far as the Intex Turbo+ 4G is concerned, this is a feature phone which has a 2.4-inch QVGA display with its most notable feature being the 4G VoLTE support. It also has a 2000mAh battery for all-day use and a dual-core processor. At the heart of the device is 512MB RAM with 4GB of internal or native storage. This native storage capacity is expandable to up to 32GB. The new Turbo+ 4G will run on the new KaiOS software and boasts of a 2MP rear camera besides a VGA Selfie Camera.

Also launched are eight new 2G-enabled feature phones: these are divided into three series: the Eco series, the Turbo series, and the Ultra series. Under the new Intex Eco series are models like the Eco 102+, the Eco 106+ and the Eco Selfie. All three models have similar 1.8-inch QQVGA displays. Some distinguishing features are there, however. The new ECO 102+ boasts of a new ‘currency check’ feature which helps authenticate their currency notes. Ample juice will be provided due to the 800mAh battery. The devices support wireless FM. Lastly, the Eco 106+ has a bigger 1000mAh battery, besides wireless FM and with expandable memory: up to 32GB. Also present is the phone book feature capable of holding 500 contacts.

The Eco Selfie smartphone is a more premium device and has a dual rear camera with flash, besides supporting 22 Indian languages, making this a good buy. Also on offer is the GPRS/WAP facility for Internet, while the 1800mAh battery will provide ample juice. There is a bigger Phonebook memory capacity of 1500 contacts.

The Intex Turbo series has two models: the Intext Turbo Shine and the Intex Turbo Selfie 18. Both devices have a 2.4-inch display while the new Turbo Shine will be able to support 22 Indian languages. It is powered by a 1400mAh battery, and will also support wireless FM. The memory is expandable as well: up to 32GB. Lastly, the new Intex  Turbo Selfie 18 has a dual rear camera setup with flash and will have a very neat 1800mAh battery. The Phonebook storage capacity is 2000 contacts.
