Motorola‘s latest handset, the Moto X4, has now been certified by the FCC and some of the key features have also been made available. Now, we have previously reported how the new device could sport a glass back. We have also reported how the new handset would come with a dual rear camera setup, as is Motorola’s wont. Let us take a look at how the new phone will score on the specs sheet.
From what we know, the Moto X4‘s U.S. variant carries the model number XT-1900-1 while the FCC ID is IHDT56WK1. On board is a 5.2-inch AMOLED display, like we reported previously, which has a stunning full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. Also on board is Gorilla Glass 3 for extra protection. At the core of the device is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 chipset which has eight cores for better performance. The Adreno 508 graphics together with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM will work in tandem with the octa-core processor. The native storage is 64 GB which is expandable to up to 256 GB thanks to the microSD card support.
We also know that the new handset will boast of dual rear cameras. This dual rear camera setup will have an RGB 12-megapixel sensor while a 12MP monochrome sensor is also present. Such a camera layout ensures that good quality low-light photography is possible. Also on board is a 16-megapixel wide angle front camera ideal for selfies and video calling. The render has also revealed a crucial feature: that there is dual-LED flash on the rear besides an LED flash for front selfie camera too.
There is no confirmation of how much the new gadget will cost. We had previously expected that the new device would come for around $400. Overall, the new Moto X4 promises to be a very capable device from what we know so far.
