If the latest news and rumors point in the right direction, a newer and bigger variant of the Nubia Z17 Mini is en route to India. Last time the Nubia Z17 Mini launched with 6GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage, we had brought you the news. With this latest launch, Nubia is looking to take on the biggest names in the industry and their iconic flagships.
The Nubia Z17 Mini has proven to be a pretty popular device, both for its excellent specs as well as for the great photos that it takes, thanks to the dual rear cameras. This time, there is on offer a new color variant as well, called the Aurora Blue. Nubia has also stated that the device will be upgraded to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 as opposed to the SD 652 chipset that is currently offered.
The rest of the specs and features of the Nubia Z17 Mini are expected to remain the same. If the reader recalls, the Nubia Z17 Mini model with the 64GB internal or native memory was launched at Rs 19,999. The device boasts of a 5.2-inch full HD display that sparkles with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. On board is a 2.5D curved glass which makes for a seamless viewing experience. The device, when it was launched, was powered by the Snapdragon 652 chipset which worked in tandem with 4GB of RAM besides the 64GB internal/native storage. The native storage option is expandable to up to 200 GB.
The one big highlight of the Nubia device is the dual rear camera setup. Working hand-in-hand are two 13-megapixel sensors; one is a monochrome sensor while the other sports an RGB lens, this arrangement is somewhat similar to what we see on the Huawei dual rear camera models. A 16-megapixel front camera that has an 80-degree wide-angle lens is optimal for selfies and video calling features.
