Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) Spotted on Geekbench with High-End Specs

The rumor mill is hyped up with news and updates about the next generation ‘Note’ series smartphone of Samsung. We still have a day left for its release. Certainly, the high-end Note 8 phablet is not the only one that is in the development. The Korean tech conglomerate is planning to bring yet another device from its Galaxy A series. Now with certain reports, another iteration, Galaxy A5 (2018) has been spotted on Geekbench.

Samsung Galaxy A5 Appeared on Geekbench

According to the reports of the famous benchmarking site, a model number of SM-A5300 has appeared recently, indicating the device to be the Galaxy A5’s iteration. As per the model number, the ‘A5’ represents the model name. While ‘3’ indicates the generation, ‘0’ at the end shows the unit to be for the Hong Kong and Chinese markets. Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) has been spotted with a number of key specifications that are expected to roll out with the device. From what we have gathered from Geekbench, the device is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor clocking at 1.84 GHz.

The listing also has the device to run Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system. The Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) phone secured 1591 in single core testing and 5706 points in multi-core testing. Apart from that, the device may come with a whopping RAM of 3 GB alongside a native storage of 32 GB that is expandable up to 256 GB. On the optics front, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) is tipped to flaunt a 16 MP primary camera and  f/1.9 aperture. Whereas the selfie shooter will come with 16 MP camera and f/1.9 aperture. Samsung Galaxy A5 (2018) is expected to come with a fast charging technology with 3,000 mAh battery.

Earlier the Korean conglomerate launched the A5 (2017) which came with a 5.2-inch full HD super AMOLED screen (touchscreen). The device was seen to be powered by Samsung’s in-house  Exynos 7880 processor. The previous iteration rolled out with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.

Samsung has maintained its position of being a standalone manufacturer in the tech universe. Talking of Samsung’s A5 (2018), more news and rumors await in the coming days. So stay tuned.
