Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 to Get Unveiled on 11th September

Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone, the Mi Mix 2 has been the talk of the town for quite a few days, kudos to the rumored 3D facial recognition technology and the nearly bezel-less design the handset is going to feature. And now finally, the Chinese tech conglomerate is all set to launch the much-awaited smartphone on 11th September through a press event in China. Xiaomi has confirmed the news via the Chinese counterpart of Twitter, Weibo. As expected, the Mi Mix 2 is going to flaunt a nearly bezel-less screen, just like its predecessor, but there is something more than just meets the eye. The image of the upcoming smartphone which has been posted by the company indicates that there will be some interesting features in the upcoming Mi Mix 2 around its chin area, which was missing in its predecessor, the Mi Mix.

Although the Chinese company has not spilled the bean about the specs of the Mi Mix 2, various reports suggest that the upcoming handset will flaunt up to 93 per cent of screen-to-body ratio, almost similar to the original Mi Mix which was launched back in October last year. Moreover, the Mi Mix 2 is also expected to retain the screen size of its predecessor and will sport a 6.4-inch HD screen with 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the forthcoming smartphone is expected to feature the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset clubbed with 6GB of RAM and will run on the company’s very own MIUI 9 OS.

A few days ago we reported the upcoming Mi Mix 2 has passed the 3C certification and according to that benchmark, the Mi Mix 2 will be available in two different variants, based on their RAM and internal storage capacity. The basic model is pegged to feature  6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage capacity while the premium model is expected to house 8GB of RAM and 256 GB of native storage.  Although the original Mi Mix was not being launched in India, the Mi Mix 2 has the chance to get the green signal. The Vice President and the India MD Manu Kumar Jain has teased the phone on his Twitter account which has given birth of the hope for the Xiaomi’s Indian fan base.
