Last month Asus launched six new smartphones under the coveted Zenfone 4 series in Taiwan. Now, the tech giant is all set to release the Zenfone 4 series in India too. The Zenfone 4 series consists of six phones- Zenfone 4 Max, Zenfone 4 Max Pro, Zenfone 4 Selfie, Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro, Zenfone 4, and Zenfone 4 Pro and the rumors are, the company is planning to launch all the six handsets in India next week. The Taiwanese tech conglomerate has already started rolling out the media invitation for the launch event which is going to take place on 14th September.
Among the aforementioned six handsets, the Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro are the flagship devices of this series. On the other hand, the Zenfone 4 Selfie and Zenfone 4 Selfie Pro are two mid-range devices, engineered especially for the selfie lovers. The Zenfone 4 Max and Zenfone 4 Max Pro comes with big battery backups and made for those users who rigorously browse the internet.
Talking about the specifications, the Zenfone 4 and Zenfone 4 Pro comes with an almost similar specs, as both are the flagship devices of this series. Both the handsets sport a 5.5-inch Super IPS LCD screen protected by the 2.5D curved glass on top. The Zenfone 4 is powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC coupled with a 4GB or 6GB of RAM, depending on the variant you opt to buy and a 64GB of internal storage capacity. On the optics front, the Zenfone 4 flaunts a dual camera setup at the back with one sensor of 12-megapixel and the other one is of 8-megapixel. On the front, an 8-megapixel snapper is placed to take better selfies. The handset is backed by a 3300mAh battery.
The Zenfone 4 Pro is the most premium handset of this series and is powered by the Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 835 SoC paired with 6GB of RAM. Just like the Zenfone 4, the Pro variant also comes with a dual camera setup at the back. The primary camera among the two features a 12-megapixel sensor accompanied with the Laser autofocus and OIS technology. Where as the secondary camera sports a 16-megapixel sensor clubbed with a 2X optical zoom lens. The handset also offers an 8-megapixel camera at the front to take selfies. The Zenfone 4 Pro is backed by a 3600 mAh battery.
As of now, we are sure Asus is going to launch at least these two handsets in India. We are surely keeping our fingers crossed to see all the six handsets hitting the Indian market shelves. But to be assured of that, we have to wait until 14th September.
