The subsidiary of the Indian smartphone making brand Micromax, Yu Mobiles has launched a new mid-range smartphone, called as Yu Yureka 2. This is the first smartphone of the company since they launched Yu Yureka Black back in June. Yu Yureka 2 has been made a Flipkart exclusive product and will go on sale from 20th September, the day Big Billion Days sale kicks off. The Yu Yureka 2 is priced at Rs. 11,999 and features a whopping 3930mAh battery as well as a finger print scanner.
Talking about the specifications of the newly launched Yu Yureka 2, the smartphone flaunts a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS display with the pixel resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. Moreover, the display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the smartphone houses an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage capacity. The users can further expand the native storage capacity up to 128GB through the microSD card slot present in the device.
On the optics front, the Yu Yureka 2 sports a 16-megapixel primary camera at the rear end with dual-LED flash and an 8-megapixel sensor on the front side. As far the connectivity options are concerned, the handset features 4G VoLTE, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.0, dual-band (2.4GHz & 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Micro-USB, 3.5mm headphone jack and FM radio. Apart from the fingerprint sensor, the Yu Yureka 2 also comes with a proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, and gyroscope. As we have mentioned above, the smartphone is backed by a staggering 3930mAh battery with the Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging support. The only downside of the Yu Yureka 2 is it runs on the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
Aesthetically, the Yu Yureka 2 sports a sleek full metal unibody and will be available to purchase from 20th September through Flipkart. With this price range and specifications, we believe the handset will compete with the mid-ranged Xiaomi smartphones.
