BLU Vivo 8L Launched at $149: Details

Just days after unveiling its much-anticipated devices, the X20 and X20 Plus (along with Vivo X20 Black and Gold Edition), the company, also a name of smartphones launched by BLU Products, the US-based giant, has launched another device. And much to the delight of fans, BLU has introduced a brand-new smartphone touted to be ‘selfie-centric’. Known as the BLU Vivo 8L, the smartphone comes with delightful specs.

The smartphone, being a lower and selfie-focused variant of the previously launched Vivo 8, sports a 5.3-inch display and supports an HD screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. Comparing to the 5.5-inch FHD display of Vivo 8 smartphone, the new product carries a smaller display size. As per screen protection, the company has used Gorilla Glass 3 for best results.

Underneath, there’s a MediaTek MT6753 chipset paired with 3 GB of RAM that is accompanied by 32 GB of native storage. The storage can further be expanded by using a microSD card storage slot. The juice comes from a powerful battery of 4,000mAh capacity that is capable of 32 hours of talk time. Also, the new BLU Vivo 8L can support reverse charging in order to charge other devices.

On the optics front, the smartphone is occupied with a 3-megapixel Sony IMX258 sensor (as reported) that comes with an aperture of f/2.0. Other features that are included are laser autofocus and PDAF. On contrary, the front camera comes with a 20-megapixel Super-Selfie camera accompanied by a selfie flash. Vivo 8L’s selfie shooter comes with 7 beautifications and can receive 4x amount of light in order to deliver excellent portrait shots.

BLU Vivo 8L Price and Availability

BLU Vivo 8L runs the Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box and carries a fingerprint reader embedded on the rear panel. As per pricing, while the original price is $199, the smartphone has been made available on Amazon with a price tag of $149. This unlocked GSM phone will work on networks such as Cricket, StraightTalk, AT&T, and T-Mobile.
