Canon Introduces G1 X Mark III Sporting 2.36 Million Dot EVF

The Japanese photography conglomerate, known to include the latest technology with their in-house products (one of which is reported here), is back in the news. After the massive success gained by G1 X Mark II, Canon brings the advanced compact gadget as its new G1 X Mark III. To grace the perennial reputation of Canon’s G-series range, the manufacturer has utilized the best prosumer-friendly features and incorporated them in a more portable shooter, known as the PowerShot G1 X Mark III.

To add a DSLR-size sensor to its smart pocket camera, Canon Powershot G1X Mark III signifies the true evolution of Powershot G1X lineup. The camera happens to be the first to debut with the accurate dual-pixel autofocus beside a brand-new 2.36 million OLED electronic viewfinder (as reported here). While users may expect the previous year’s 24-120mm f/2.0-3.9 zoom lens, let us remind you that it is gone! The replacement has been made with a slower and shorter lens of a 24-72 mm f/2.8-5.6 model. While this is a new thing offered by Canon, age-old fans are looking forward to reasoning it. But in all probability, this was done in order to offer a small and light-weighted camera to increase its mobility.

What excites fans is the inclusion of the much-awaited 2.36 million dot EVF feature that fans requested, ever since G1 X Mark II was out in the markets. Besides, to focus your finger on the touchscreen while viewing through EVF, there’s a 3.0-inch vari-angle touch display alongside a touch and drag autofocus. For both live images and motion pictures, dual-pixel AF has improved the focus speed. The new G1 X Mark III is limited to shooting 1080p 60fps video. As of other features, there’s a new panoramic mode along with WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth. Nevertheless, to make it keep it all right as per fans, Canon devs sacrificed few features from its predecessor and thus involved in jacking up the price tag. In case you’re in need of an APS-C compact zoom, this Canon G1 X Mark III is the only suggestion as of now.
