Huawei Watch 2 Pro Launched in China with Android Wear 2.0 and eSim Support

The Chinese tech conglomerate Huawei has launched the latest version of their coveted wearable series dubbed as the Huawei Watch 2 Pro in China. Although the Watch 2 Pro is entirely a new product, it has striking resemblances with the already launched Watch 2 Classic, aesthetically. But this newly launched wearable comes with the eSIM support, a feature which is not seen on any other Huawei smartwatches.

Speaking of the specifications of the Huawei Watch 2 Pro, the wearable features a Chinese version of the Android Wear 2.0 which is equipped with all the smartphones which run on Android 4.4 or iOS 9 or above operating systems. Apart from that, the Huwaei Watch 2 Pro also includes support for 4G/3G/2G connectivity. Moreover, the connectivity options also include Wi-Fi (2.4GHz 802.11 b / g / n), Bluetooth (2.4GHz BT4.1 BLE + BR / EDR), NFC ,and GPS. This smartwatch also supports Huawei Pay, Wechat Pay, and Alipay so that the users can make cashless transactions.

The Huwaei Watch 2 Pro sports a 1.2-inch AMOLED Round screen with the screen resolution of 390 × 390 pixels, 326 pixels per index, and is protected by the Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood, the smartwatch houses Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 4 core processor which is clubbed with 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage capacity. The wearable is powered by a 420mAh battery and is also comes with the IP 68 certification, that means the device is water and dust resistant.

Apart from that, the Huawei Watch 2 Pro also comes with various sensor options onboard like Heart rate sensor, 3 – axis gravity acceleration sensor, Pressure sensor, 3 axis Gyroscope sensor, Capacitive sensor, 3-axis compass geomagnetic sensor, and Ambient light sensor. The Huawei Watch 2 Pro is priced at ¥2588 (roughly Rs. 25,343), although the company has not officially announced from when the smartwatch will be available outside China.
