New Xiaomi Mi 6 With 4GB of RAM Likely to Launch on November 11, Reports Say

When the well-received Xiaomi Mi 6 was first released, it was an audaciously successful one. However, that was some time ago and we had believed that the newer players in the market would replace it on the popularity charts. Turns out we were wrong. For, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is coming back in a new avatar with 4GB of RAM, a RAM configuration unknown when the phone was first released with 6 and 8GB of RAM.

The fact that the Xiaomi Mi 6 with 4GB RAM existed was first showcased in a TENAA listing, which was obtained by MyFixDrivers, whose report you can see here. From what we know so far, the RAM appears to be the only changed component in the Xiaomi Mi 6’s apparent second coming.

The new Xiaomi Mi 6

For the record, Xiaomi has not made anything official about whether a new device is in the pipeline or whether it will be available eventually. Since this is a watered-down version of the Xiaomi Mi 6, we expect a 4GB RAM and 64GB storage combination to debut. It is likely to be a special edition phone. Reports also suggest that the Mi 6 with 4GB RAM may cost around 2,299 yuan, which is around 200 yuan cheaper than the variant we are familiar with.

The regular variant of the Xiaomi Mi 6, which has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage space, comes for around 2,499 yuan. There is also some speculation that the device could launch on November 11. Before we go, let us jog your memory on what the original launch brought with it. The Xiaomi Mi 6 had a 5.15-inch display along with FHD 1080p resolution. Thanks to the incorporation of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC, the device is surprisingly powerful and yet resourceful. This Xiaomi flagship device has dual 12MP cameras on the rear. Also aboard is an 8MP front-facing selfie camera. It also has a great 3,350mAh battery.
