Panasonic Announces New Bezel-Less Device Eluga C: Details

Panasonic, which is a Japanese multinational, has introduced a new device which has a bezel-less display and a dual camera arrangement. Called the Panasonic Eluga C, the new smartphone has dual rear cameras which makes sure that it falls squarely in the flagship category. The Eluga C is in the long-running series of Eluga phones and the last one was the P91. We had earlier reported that the Eluga C would launch with an edge-to-edge display on November 29.

The device was first launched in Taiwan and is priced at TWD 6,000, a sum approximately equal to Rs 12,900. The new Panasonic Eluga C has two color variants: Pink and Blue. The Panasonic Eluga C is the first device to feature the bezel-less design from the house of Panasonic, which is a globally renowned electronics manufacturer.

The new device has a wide array of features. The first and foremost one is the 3-sided bezel-less design, a first for the company. Aboard is a 5.5-inch HD display boasting a screen resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The screen-to-body ratio is a handsome 84.6%. Powering the device is a very decent 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor. Onboard is 4GB of RAM besides a very decent 64GB of internal or native storage. This storage is expandable to up to 256GB via a dedicated micro SD card slot.

The smartphone also boasts of a fingerprint scanner located at the bottom of the front-hand side. This means that Panasonic is intent on penetrating the smartphone flagship market too.

The Panasonic Eluga C has dual rear cameras. The setup consists of one 13-megapixel and one 5-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. Out front is an 8-megapixel shooter meant for both selfies as well as video calling. Providing the juice is a 3000mAh battery and the device runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Connectivity features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11b/g/n, as well as Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and micro USB port.
