Gionee S11 With Four Cameras Coming to India in January

Gionee is apparently bullish when it comes to the burgeoning Indian mobile phones market. The company, which is based in China, is bringing the Gionee S11 to India in the first month of 2018. We have earlier covered the Gionee S11 and its primary USP apparently is the four cameras that are onboard. Besides, the phone also boasts of some of the latest specs which will help its stand its ground in an increasingly overcrowded market.

To cut to the chase, the company is launching the Gionee S11 in India in January 2018. Currently, the same device is available in China for 1,799 yuan, a sum approximately equal to Rs. 17,600. This leads us to believe that the phone will be launched in India under Rs 20,000. In fact, due to some stock related issues, the launch of the phone may be pushed back to the last week of January 2018 as well. Whether that will indeed happen is best left for the new year to tell. Gionee has not made anything public as of now, however.

Gionee S11 coming to India

The Gionee S11 boasts pretty solidly decent specs. Onboard is a 5.99-inch display with super-thin bezels, FHD+ 2160 x 1080 pixel resolution with an aspect ratio of 18:9, meant for a widescreen movie viewing. Under its hood, the S11 has a 2.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6763T Helio P23 processor that will work in tandem with 4GB RAM and a pretty decent 64GB storage space. The latter can be expanded thanks to a MicroSD card.

The major highlight, like we said earlier, is the presence of four cameras on board. The front panel has a dual camera setup while the rear too has another dual camera. The rear camera setup has one 16MP primary sensor complementing a 5MP secondary sensor. These sensors are also accompanied by the autofocus feature and an LED flash. Cut to the front and we see one 16MP primary sensor besides an 8MP secondary sensor which will be ideal for selfies and video calling features.
