Finally, the wait is over. The premium segment heavy-hitter, the LG V30+, is launching in India on December 13. Remember that we had pointed out the price tags of the V30+ as well as its smaller sibling, the LG V30, when they had launched initially worldwide. The primary USP of this splendidly crafted device is the 6-inch OLED display which has the FullVision technology, which will enable seamless viewing pleasure.
When the device was first launched in September, we had covered the same. Before launching internationally, the device had made landfall in its home market of South Korea. This makes sense as the company has a correct estimate of which things fit together and which factors need to be corrected. As the name implies, the LG V30+ is a more premium variant of the standard V30 as it has 128GB of native/internal storage space in comparison with the 64GB storage space that the V30 traditionally offers.
LG V30+ Specs and Features
This is certainly a flagship-standard device. The LG V30+ has a very high-quality 6-inch QHD+ display that boasts a resolution 2880 x 1440 pixels while featuring an aspect ratio of 18:9. Covering and protecting the display is a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 protection. The device runs on Android 7.1.2 Nougat while powering it is a flagship octa-core Snapdragon 835 SoC which is paired with 4GB RAM besides 128GB storage space. In case you feel like it, you can increase the internal storage space to up to 2TB via a microSD card.
The imaging and camera aspects of the LG V30+are also noteworthy. The rear dual camera setup consists of one 16MP primary sensor that has a 71-degree wide angle lens, besides dual-tone LED flash and a f/1.6 aperture. There is also a 13MP secondary camera that has a superior 120-degree wide-angle lens accompanied by a f/1.9 aperture. A 5MP selfie camera rounds off the LG V30+. A 3,300 mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support makes the LG V30+ decidedly flagship.
