LG Aristo 2 Spotted With Snapdragon 425 and Android Nougat

In January 2016, LG, the South Korean giant, had launched a new entry-level smartphone called the Aristo. It now seems that the company is working on the Aristo 2, which is the successor to that model. LG has been in the news for producing both flagships as well as budget smartphones. With the Aristo 2, the company will look to bring the LG experience to those who cannot afford too much.

How do we know that it is the LG Aristo 2? Well, first and foremost, the smartphone’s retail packaging, as well as the user manual, have now been leaked online. The first to leak these was Slashleaks, which now suggests that this smartphone will have a 5-inch HD display that will have a screen resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Under the device is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor which is seen running at 1.4GHz.

Incidentally, the LG Aristo too had the very same Snapdragon 425 SoC at its heart as well. When it comes to the RAM department, the LG Aristo 2 seems to have received a slight upgrade over the LG Aristo. While the former had 2GB of RAM, the previous variant had packed 1.5GB of RAM. As far as the smartphone’s storage is concerned, it has 16GB of native storage capacity, a feature thankfully capable of being expandable by using a microSD card.

As far as the camera and optics are concerned, the device is pre-installed with Android 7.1.2 Nougat OS with a 2,410mAh battery. As of now, we do not know what the Aristo 2’s cameras and connectivity features will be. Based on the features and the history of the device, the smartphone may arrive later this month and will likely have a low price tag.

The LG Aristo, incidentally, was launched in the US when the last year began. The smartphone features a beautifully textured back panel and has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
