Nokia Brings Back The BH-501 Bluetooth Earphones With Estimated 3 Days of Battery Life

Nokia is banking heavily on nostalgia these days, that is for sure. Why else would it consider bringing back its iconic BH-501 earphones? Well, the Finnish company, whose products are nowadays manufactured by HMD Global, has decided to take the smartphone launch season and bring in the Nokia BH-501 Bluetooth earphones.

Last year, the company had introduced a new series of wireless and wired Bluetooth earphones. Now, with the relaunch of the BH-501, a name which was rather popular just over a decade ago, Nokia will look to take the audio listening world by storm. Onboard is an aluminum body which boasts a brushed material finish. The BH-501 weighs a mere 15 grams and measures 50 cm in length, good enough for people with average-sized hands.

As of now, the new Bluetooth earphones will come only in the Black color variant. This Bluetooth earphones also comes with an in-line remote on the cable which also features three buttons which are expressly meant for music playback besides answering all incoming calls.

The one major highlight of the new Nokia BH-501 is the battery capacity, as reported in GizmoChina. Apparently, the device has a 3-day battery life on a single charge. It also offers 144 hours of standby time. This will ensure that more and more people will be able to use the headphones on a single charge when they go running in the morning.

Nokia or HMD Global has yet to announce the battery details of the new device. Besides, this is a waterproof earphone. Onboard is the IP55 rating signaling that it will be safe from any water splashes from a distance. This will actually aid in the sales of the device as fitness enthusiasts want these features.

The Nokia BH-501 price tag is an estimated 299 yuan, a sum which translates to around Rs 2,900. As of now, there is no word when the device will launch in major international markets.
