When the entire tech industry is busy grabbing and unfolding their device at the CES 2018 in Las Vegas, the Korean tech company, Samsung, chooses to silently launch an On series smartphone in the Indian market. Needless to say, Samsung is one such brand name which manages to appear in the rumor mill every now and then. The recent report that has surfaced online points out that Samsung’s new smartphone under the On series is now listed on Amazon India. Dubbed the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, the device has recently launched in India and is soon expected to go on sales.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime, as listed on Amazon India, gives us a fair idea about the device in terms of key specs. Apart from that, Indian fans need to wait for pricing and availability of the device. Gizbot reports that prime details remain unknown, but an IANS report citing industry sources has claimed that Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime is pegged to come with a price tag of around Rs. 15,000.
From the listing via Amazon India, the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime bears a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixel. Underneath the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Exynos 7870 processor clocked at 1.6GHz. It is paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime comes in another variant which sports 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. The storage is further expandable up to 256GB via microSD card slots. The device sports 13-megapixel cameras with an f/1.9 aperture on the front as well as the rear panels.
The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime has a hardware Home just button below the display and is flanked by capacity buttons on the sides (reports NDTV Gadget360). Other details of the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime as listed on the UAE site also include a 3300mAh battery, an LCD display panel, the dual-SIM functionality, and a dedicated slot for microSD card.
The smartphone weighs about 167 grams and measures 151.7 x 75 x 8 mm. Connectivity-wise, there’s the UAE variant include Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi b/g/n 2.4GHz, 4G, Micro-USB 2.0, Bluetooth 4.1, ANT+, and 3.5mm audio jack. On the software front, it is not clear which version of the Android OS the smartphone will run. The Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime will be available in two color options: Black and Gold.
