The Samsung Galaxy S9 duo smartphones have already had a fair number of leaks when we talk about envisioning the upcoming handsets. Possible reports that surfaced online today indicates that both Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ have received the 3C Certification in China. Earlier reports have already pointed out that the devices are scheduled to get official at the MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2018 tech show which will hold next month in March in Barcelona.

The Samsung Galaxy models which got the 3C nod also include the models that bear the model numbers SM-G9650/DS, SM-G9600/DS, in addition to SM-G9608/DS. While the SM-G9600/DS model is reported to be the Chinese version of Samsung’s Galaxy S9, the SM-G9608/DS is said to be Galaxy S9+. The SM-G9608/DS, on the contrary, will bear a 5.8-inch display and is slated to be the model for the Taiwan market.

Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ Have Received The 3C Certification In China

The suffix “DS” attached to the model number indicates that all three model numbers are anticipated to feature the dual SIM card slots. The SIM slots of the three models are also expected to follow suit with Hybrid SIM setup of Samsung‘s Galaxy S8 series where the second SIM slot was capable of getting interchanged with a microSD card slot.

From what we have gathered through the 3C certification, there are no further details about the device regarding the specifications of both the flagship smartphones. However, it is a sure indication that the launch is sooner. Previous leaks point out that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9+ will be powered by Snapdragon 845 chip on the Galaxy S9, while on the other hand, some models will also have Samsung’s in-house Exynos 9810 processor.

The 3C listing also points out that all three models will be capable enough to deliver the fast charging technology support at 9V /1.67A and 5V / 2A respectively. The devices are also expected to come in different RAM and memory variants. Apart from these details, there’s no other revelation, however, ahead of any official news, one may take these specifications with a grain of salt. We expect more details to be leaked via the TENAA certification shortly.
