HTC Launches U11+ in India with Android Oreo and 18:9 6-inch Display

HTC has launched its latest flagship the U11+ in India today at a price of Rs 56,990. However, it would be available for sale exclusively on Flipkart from tomorrow onwards. To recall, HTC had already launched the U11+ outside India in November last year.

The smartphone was launched in three color variants of  Ceramic Black, Amazing Silver and Translucent Black outside India, but the company has launched only the Amazing Silver variant of the phone in India at present. HTC is also likely to launch the Ceramic Black edition in India sometime soon.

The smartphone is available outside India in two variants, one with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage space and the other having 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage space. However, in India, only the first variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage has been launched.

The new device features a 6-inch quad HD+ bezel-less display screen with a display resolution of 2880 X 1440 pixels. It is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal memory as mentioned earlier. The memory can be further upgraded with the help of micro-SD card.

Talking about the optical aspects of the device, the phone features a 12-megapixel Ultrapixel rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, 4K full HD recording, and Ultraspeed autofocus. It boasts an 8-megapixel front camera with f/2.0 aperture and 85-degree view angle. The phone runs on Android Oreo 8.0 out of the box and also boasts the Edge Sense feature with which the users can squeeze their phone to launch new features.

The phone is fueled by a 3930mAh battery with the latest quick charge technology and also supports the IP68 certification. The phones also support 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, USB Type-C port for charging, GLONASS but does not feature the 3.5mm headphone connector. The phone is also water and dust resistant confirming to the IP 68 certification.
