The LG K7i which was launched last year in India at a price of Rs 7,990 is now available at a price of Rs 6,990 only after a price cut of Rs 1000 by the company. The phone was available only through offline retail stores when it was launched, but now, the company has announced that it would be available on all online e-commerce websites like Amazon India and Flipkart in India.
The major talking point of this smartphone is the “Mosquito Away Technology” which can be found on the rear panel of the phone. LG has stated that the Mosquito Away sensor emits ultrasonic sound waves which do not bother or harm the humans in any way but keeps the mosquitoes away from the room. These ultrasonic sound waves are not audible to the human ear but have an irritating effect on flies and mosquitoes.
Talking about the other specifications of the newest member of the LG K Series, it features a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1280 X 720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.4GHz quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is further upgradable to a 32GB maximum with a micro-SD card.
Coming to the camera section of the phone, the devices boast an 8-megapixel rear camera with fixed focus and LED flash to back it up. It also sports a front facing camera of 5 megapixels for video-calling and selfies but it does not offer an LED flash.
The device still runs on the Android Marshmallow 6.0 version and is unlikely to receive an update soon. It is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery which may last for a day depending on the usage of the phone but does not offer the fast charging feature that other smartphones have these days. Apart from all these, the phone also supports 3G/4G LTE bands, dual-band WiFi, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS assisted Google maps, USB 2.0 charging port along with dual SIM card support with dual standby time for both the SIMs.
