Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 with 3GB RAM Now Available in India

The updated version of the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime that has been dubbed as Galaxy J7 Prime 2 is now available for purchase in India. The smartphone was launched by Samsung last week in a private launch event. The smartphone is currently available through offline retail stores and will be available on the Samsung online store shortly.

The major highlights of the phone include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an octa-core Exynos 7 series SoC. Apart from that, the smartphone also comes with a front mounted fingerprint scanner. Samsung has also included the Samsung Pay Mini UPI (Unified Payments Interface) platform in the smartphone. The Pay Mini service can be used for making online bill payments, mobile recharges and more. The smartphone is available in two color variants of Black and Gold.

The Samsung J7 Prime 2 comes with a price tag of Rs 13,990 and is available on Samsung’s retail stores throughout the country. It will be available for purchase through Samsung India’s online store as well within a few days.

Coming to the specifications of the new device, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 runs on Android OS, but the version has not been revealed by the company till now. The device features a 5.5-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels. It is powered by a 1.6 GHz octa-core Exynos 7 series processor and backed up by 3GB of RAM.

Talking about the optics department, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime 2 sports a 13-megapixel sensor o the back panel with f/1.9 aperture and LED flash. On the front, it also features a 13-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calling. The smartphone is also capable of playing full HD resolution videos at 60fps. It comes with an inbuilt storage space of 32GB that can be further upgraded with the help of micro-SD card.

Connectivity features of the new smartphone include Bluetooth 4.1, GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11/b/g/n, 3G and 4G support and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Apart from that, the smartphone also comes with an accelerometer and proximity sensor. It is powered by a 3,300 mAh battery under the hood.
