Samsung Galaxy S9 Duo Launched in India, Price Starts at Rs. 57,900

The South Korean tech conglomerate has recently launched the Samsung Galaxy S9 duo in the Indian markets, which happens to be the company’s new flagship smartphones of this year. The smartphones made their debuts at the MWC 2018 last week in Barcelona on 25th of February. Though design wise they look similar to last year’s Galaxy S8 and S8+, Samsung claims that it has made most of the improvements underneath.

The Galaxy S9 and S9+ are not inexpensive models. While the Samsung Galaxy S9 comes at Rs 57,900 for the 64GB variant, the Samsung Galaxy S9+ costs Rs. 64,900 for that same storage capacity. On the contrary, the 256GB variants of the Galaxy S9 as well as, Galaxy S9+ comes with price tags of Rs. 65,900 and Rs. 72,900 (respectively). The models are to be available in three hue options: Coral Blue, Midnight Black, and Lilac Purple. The Samsung Galaxy S9 lineup will hit the Indian market shelves which starts from March 16 onwards through the offline retail outlets and via the popular e-commerce portal, Flipkart.

The company with its newest flagship member of 2018 is also offering Rs 6000 cashback on HDFC bank credit cards for the interested users who wish to buy the Galaxy S9 phones. In addition, will be capable of getting Rs. 6000 cashback, but this will be availed only when users make their purchases from Paytm. Besides this, there’s also an additional Rs. 6000 additional off on any exchange of the older device. Samsung is reportedly partnering with Airtel, Vodafone as well as Jio in order to give beneficial offers on the Galaxy S9. Airtel users who wish to go for a purchase of the phone, they will get as low as Rs. 9,900 for postpaid plans for Rs. 2,499 per month, reports Indian Express. Samsung is a stiff competition when it comes to the high-end smartphone market. Currently, Apple’s iPhone X, iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus are the premium segment. While there is a crucial competition coming from Google and OnePlus, the popularity of the Galaxy S9 is crucial for this Korean giant in the markets of Indian where every now and then the defeat comes from Xiaomi that happens to be one of India’s best smartphone manufacturers.
