It has been a few years since the open-world zombie survival game was announced by Undead Labs and now the release date and the price of the game has been announced finally. We are in fact just a couple of months away from the release date and the price is also much lower than our expectations.
As per a report by IGN, State of Decay 2 will release on May 22, 2018, and will be available for Windows PC, Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X. It is priced at $29.99 which is almost half the price we were expecting. This could be a new strategy on the part of the company to lure gamers worldwide and make the game popular in a short span of time.
As a matter of fact, the ultimate edition of State of Decay 2 is also available at a much lower price than expected. Gamers who are interested to get their hands on the ultimate edition of the game will be happy to know that it has been priced at $49.99 only. We do not have any information about the contents of the ultimate edition yet but there is a possibility that it could come with a content pack to help the gamers during the early part of gameplay.
There is also an added bonus for the gamers. The game is also available as a “Play Anywhere” title, which means if you buy the game on Xbox One, you will be able to play it on Windows 10 PC as well. It’s the same for the Windows PC version as well which can be played on the Xbox One gaming console.
“Our goal is to build a long-term relationship with the State of Decay community and to foster deeper experiences with the franchise. We believe State of Decay 2 accomplishes this goal by immersing fans in the ultimate zombie survival fantasy, and we want to give more players the opportunity to join in and experience this unique game” Aaron Greenberg, Marketing Manager of Microsoft’s gaming division said while commenting on the game.
A full gameplay preview will be revealed soon along with some the exclusive features of the new game. Do keep an eye here to get all the first-hand information regarding the launch of State of Decay 2.
