Acer has launched an all in one desktop dubbed as Aspire S24 which is the slimmest ever from the company with a thickness of just 0.235 inches. Over the years, we have seen many companies launching ultrathin laptops but Acer seems to be one of the first to launch an ultrathin desktop computer. The new PC from Acer is not only thin but also features very thin bezels and 90% screen to body ratio. The Aspire S24 desktop also comes with a Qi wireless charger that allows you to charge compatible devices seamlessly. In addition, it also comes with a free 30 day trial of Microsoft Office.
Talking about the specifications of the Acer Aspire S24 desktop, it features a 23.8 inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 pixels. The desktop is powered by an Intel Core i5 8250U processor with a 12GB of DDR4 RAM. It comes with 1TB of secondary storage. It also comes with an Integrated Intel UHD Graphics 620 for running games smoothly. Acer has also claimed that the desktop features the Intel dual-band wireless 802.11 ac 2X2 MIMO chip.
Coming to the other connectivity options, the desktop supports Bluetooth 4.2, WiFi 802.11ac and Gigabit LAN support. In addition, the desktop also comes with one USB Type-C port, three USB Type-A ports, and a USB 2.0 port. The PC also comes with a wireless mouse and keyboard. It is currently available only in one color variant of Black and Matte Gold finish.
The Aspire S24 desktop runs on the latest Windows 10 operating system. Coming to the sound department, the PC features two 2W 2.1 channel speakers with a sub-woofer design with Acer TrueHarmony and Dolby Digital Audio Premium. Talking about the wireless charger, the system supports wireless charging for Qi-enabled devices. Using this feature, users will be able to charge their smartphones by keeping them in the specified charging area. This new feature has been implemented by Acer to take on Apple iMac devices that also support wireless charging. The Acer Aspire S24 desktop is available on the official Acer web store in the US. The Pc comes with a price tag of $899 in the US and a global launch is likely to take place very soon.
