Nokia 8 Sirocco Now Available for Pre-Order on Flipkart at Rs 49,999

The Nokia 8 Sirocco smartphone that was unveiled at the MWC 2018 in February and subsequently launched in India last month, is now available for pre-order on the country’s largest e-commerce portal Flipkart. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 49,999 and will be available exclusively on Flipkart at the moment. Airtel is also offering a cashback of Rs 2000 on the handset in collaboration with Nokia.

All buyers who opt for an Airtel connection while buying the Nokia 8 Sirocco will be entitled to get 20GB of additional data on a prepaid recharge of Rs 199 or Rs 349 over a period of 6 months. Postpaid users will also get 20GB of additional data with a recharge of Rs 399 or Rs 499.

To recollect the specifications of the Nokia 8 Sirocco, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display with a resolution of 2560 X 1440 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 835 chipset with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage space. Coming to the camera department, the smartphone comes with a dual rear camera setup with a 12-megapixel and a 13-megapixel camera and dual tone LED flash. On the front, the device features a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling.

HMD Global, which currently holds the license for manufacturing and selling Nokia phones had earlier launched the Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 7 Plus devices in India. Both the smartphones are now available for purchase online as well as through offline retailers and Nokia brand stores. While the Nokia 6(2018) comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999, the Nokia 7 Plus is available at a price of Rs 25,999.

The company has also recently rolled out the Android 8.1 Oreo update along with the latest Android security patch for the Nokia 6 (2018) and the Nokia 7 Plus in India. The update is available over the air and users can also manually check for the update by diving to Settings> About Phone> Software Updates.
