OnePlus 6 Confirmed to Launch in China on April 27

Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus has finally confirmed the release date of its upcoming flagship phone the OnePlus6. The launch date has been revealed by the company on its China website with details of the launch event as well. The OnePlus 6 will be launched on April 27 at 10 am CST (7:30 am IST) in a private event in Beijing. The event will also be open to the public but they will have to shell out a fee of CNY 99 (Rs 1000 approx)to attend the launch event.

Just a few days ago, Amazon India had also given us a hint that the launch date of the OnePlus6 was near, by putting up a dedicated page of the upcoming device on its website since the OnePlus6 is going to be an Amazon Exclusive in India. The OnePlus 5 and the OnePlus5T has also reportedly gone out of stock in India indicating that the OnePlus 6 may be launched in the country just after China.

The OnePlus 6 is one of the most anticipated smartphones at the present moment because of some amazing features it is expected to bring on board. The major highlight of the phone is going to be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC with 8GB of RAM.

Incidentally, the release date of the upcoming smartphone may also have been leaked. According to a report by GSM Arena, a reader has claimed that OnePlus has sent emails to some OnePlus owners that the OnePlus 6 will be launched on May 21. As per the report, the reader has been selected for trial by the company for a Lab program that was started last week. For now, we have to wait and see whether this report turns out to be true or not.

To recall the specifications, as per earlier leaked renders, the OnePlus 6 is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB inbuilt storage. It is also expected to arrive with an iPhone X like notch and a glass back design and 3.5mm audio connector. It is expected to sport a 6.28-inch full HD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9.
