Red Dead Redemption Receives Enhanced Xbox One X Update; Now Playable in 4K

With Red Dead Redemption 2 all set for release in October this year, the first installment called Red Dead Redemption has now received an enhanced Xbox One X update. Developed by Rockstar Games that is famous for its Grand Theft Auto series, the game can now be played in 4K resolution. In addition, Microsoft is also rolling out the update to some other games like Sonic Generations, Gears of War 2, Portal 2, Darksiders and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Microsoft also recently updated previous generation games like Crackdown and The Witcher 2. This has resulted in more clear looking gameplay with enhanced graphics.

The Xbox One X update has taken the Red Dead Redemption to an all new level. Not only does the game look a lot sharper than before, the enhanced graphics has also made the characters in the game look more real. With the sequel Red Dead Redemption 2 just a few months away from release, this is a good time to prepare yourself for the grand release and also horn your skills.

Bill Stillwell, Lead Program Manager, Xbox Platform recently wrote on the official Xbox website “As a reminder, Xbox 360 games enhanced for Xbox One X run at a higher resolution and 9X the original pixel count when played on Xbox One X. The power of Xbox One X enables the Xbox 360 emulator to showcase the very best version of the game possible with the existing assets – all without touching the game code. And through the power of Backward Compatibility, fans can choose whether they want to experience these games with enhanced graphics or in their original form,”
