Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) with Samsung Mall Feature Launched in India

South Korean tech giant Samsung has launched an upgraded version of the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2017) that was launched in October last year. The new model named as Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) comes with a new feature called Samsung Mall that offers a one-stop shopping solution to users from multiple e-commerce websites. The smartphone comes with a price tag of Rs 8,190 and will be available in three color options of Black, Gold, and Pink.

Meanwhile, Reliance Jio is offering special benefits to users who plan to buy the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018). The company is offering a cashback of Rs 2,750 in the My Jio app on recharges of Rs 198 or Rs 299. Apart from that, Jio subscribers who buy the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) will also get 10GB of additional data on the next 10 recharges as a part of the offer.

Talking about the Samsung Mall feature, it was rolled out for the first time with the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime that was launched in January this year. Samsung Mall comes with three features of visual search, universal cart, and one-stop shop. The app comes with more than 4 popular e-commerce platforms to offer deals on products and then place orders through the app without having to download and install separate e-commerce apps from the play store. This new feature is a part of the Indian government’s Make for India initiative and uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technology.

Coming to the specifications, the Samsung Galaxy J2 (2018) comes with a 5.0-inch Super AMOLED display. On the camera front, it features an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Both the camera modules are supported by LED flash. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage that can be upgraded to a maximum of 256GB with a micro-SD card. It is fueled by a 2,600mAh battery under the hood and runs on Android 7.1 Nougat operating system.
