South Korea based technology giant Samsung has tied up with Vodafone to launch a Red Bull Ring edition of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ in the Netherlands. The two smartphones are targeted at Formula One fans in the country and will be available for a limited time only. The devices come with a special Red Bull Ring themed case which is named after the Austrian Grand Prix track in Spielberg, Austria. The Red Bull Ring edition smartphones also come with preloaded contents like Grand Prix wallpapers, and videos. The limited edition Samsung Galaxy S9 and the galaxy S9+ are available on the official Vodafone Netherlands website until April 27.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 Red Bull Ring edition can be owned from Vodafone with a monthly plan of EUR 48, while the larger Galaxy S9+ comes with a monthly plan of EUR 55. The monthly plan offers up to 6GB of DATA with unlimited voice calls and SMS messages. In addition, Vodafone is also offering two weekend tickets to the Austrian Grand Prix excluding flight and hotel charges to all customers who opt for the monthly plans. The Austrian Grand is due to be held from Friday, 29 June 2018 to Sunday, July 01, 2018 at the Red Bull Ring circuit in Spielberg.

The Red Bull Ring edition of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ also come with Grand Prix and Red Bull Ring wallpapers, app icons, and screensavers. It also includes free Grand Prix video contents from Dutch sports channel Ziggo Sports. The Red Bull Ring themed specialized case apparently uses NFC to change the theme of the devices, once it is put onto them.

As far as the specifications of the two devices are concerned, they will be identical to the original Samsung Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+ models that were unveiled at the MWC 2018 held in February.
