Moto Z3 Play Expected to Launch on June 6 in Brazil; Press Invites Being Sent

Motorola, which is currently owned by Lenovo is expected to launch the much-hyped Moto Z3 Play on June 6. The upcoming Moto Z series smartphone has been a subject of speculations since the past few months, thanks to the innumerable number of leaks that have surfaced till now.

As per latest reports, the company has started sending press invites for an event scheduled to be held in Brazil on June 6, 2018. The Moto Z3 Play is expected to be unveiled on that day along with some additional announcements from the company. As per Brazilian website Tudocelular, Motorola has confirmed a ‘Save the date’ event to be held in Brazil on June 6. The press invite of the event shows a girl holding a Moto smartphone on her hand and as per speculations, the smartphone could be the Moto Z3 Play.

The Motorola launch event poster shows the front panel of the upcoming smartphone but it does not reveal any other information about the handset. The launch event is expected to start at 9:30 am BRT (6 pm IST) on June 6.

Talking about the specifications of the Moto Z3 Play, it is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC and sports a 6-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080 X 2160 pixels and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will also come with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass protection on top. The smartphone may feature a 12-megapixel rear camera with low light imaging capabilities and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video calling. It is likely to run on Android 8.1 Oreo flavor out of the box.

As far as the design is concerned, the Moto Z3 Play is expected to come with a glass back design with very thin bezels on the sides of the handset. Also, the smartphone may not feature the physical home button anymore and the fingerprint sensor may be placed on the side of the smartphone.
